Nel novembre del 2008, tornando a rivestire dopo circa dieci anni i panni di The Fireman, McCartney ha pubblicato l’album Electric Arguments. Il lavoro ha ripreso alcune delle atmosfere già sperimentate nei precedenti lavori dei Fireman, elaborate però con una vena maggiormente melodica e con l’aggiunta di parole alla musica. L’album è stato composto e realizzato in tredici giorni (uno per canzone) ed è stato registrato nello studio di registrazione personale di McCartney nel Sussex.
